The Biology Building was constructed in 1995 and houses 2 lecture halls, 18 faculty offices, 9 teaching labs, 18 faculty/student research labs, a computer lab, an image analysis lab, 5 environmental rooms and a marine culture room. |

The Genetics Lab is taught by Dr. Carol Trent and Dr. Jeff Young. In this lab, students explore genetics using several animal and plant model systems including the nematode C. elegans, the plant Arabidopsis and the parsitoid wasp, Nasonia. |
Students in this 400-level Molecular Biology Lab investigate a wide variety of techniques ranging from PCR to Southern hybridizations using modern equipment and isntrumentation. |

The Entolmology Lab is taught by Dr. Merrill Peterson. Here, he and his students are identifying local insects at Sehome Arboretum, adjacent to campus. |
One of many field labs in Biology 326 (Ecology). In this lab students are investigating the physiological ecology of planktonic invertebrates at an inlet near Bellingham Bay. |

Here Plant Biology (Biology 203) students are identifying different genera of local macroalgae and becoming familiar with their vegetative and reproductive structures. |
